Taste a smorgasbord of sustainability activity!

Green Street will facilitate an exciting learning and networking event for the Samford Sustainable Business Network on Wednesday 2nd October 2024, in Samford near Brisbane. Attendees from the public are welcome, as are local businesses and community enterprises.

The event will serve up a veritable ‘sustainability smorgasbord’! Local enterprises will deliver short, punchy presentations to give people a taste of their sustainability activities. They’ll show how they are trying to support their enterprise and build a resilient community through simple (sometimes surprising) sustainability initiatives.

As part of the event, attendees can discover how to put sustainability on the menu at their enterprise or workplace. Workshop-style activities will help people find recipes for achievable sustainability strategies (supported by Green Street tools & resources).

Promoting the Samford Sustainable Business Network

Samford-based enterprises can join the feast of local sustainability activity via the renewed Samford Sustainable Business Network. This collaborative group is open to community enterprises, startups and businesses operating in the 4520 postcode area.

The Samford Network has been around for a few years but has recently been renewed thanks to support from the City of Moreton Bay Council, the Rotary Club of Samford Valley and the Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce. The renewed Network aims to ramp up sustainability activity in the area by making it easier for local enterprises to connect, learn and act on sustainability.
