Redcliffe enterprises share sustainability stories

Keen to help local enterprises learn from each other’s experiences, Green Street recently facilitated a collaborative event for Redcliffe Sustainable Business Network members. The event was possible thanks to the support of the Redcliffe Rotary Club, Redcliffe Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and the City of Moreton Bay Council.

Held in Redcliffe on 10 December 2024, the workshop was an informal get-together for members to share sustainability approaches, actions, and learning points. This event was a follow-up to the start-up workshops held in September, where members engaged in activities to set their vision and define actions, barriers and opportunities.

A range of experiences from different enterprises

At the workshop, attendees delivered informal presentations about their enterprise’s sustainability strategies and ideas. Naturally, the sustainability strategies and priorities varied according to the type of enterprise.

The attendees represented organisations as diverse as woodcraft, youth housing, event management, textile recycling and community groups. Their strategies ranged from simple things like cleaning solar panels to circular economy processes that repurpose waste.
