Leilani Kovacs from Samford Variety Store (in Samford, southeast QLD) is selling products that are more sustainably sourced and is aiming to do more and more over time.

Storage tubs are made out of recycled materials while bowls, plates, and cutlery are made out of biodegradable products, which Leilani knows is far better than plastic as they won’t go into landfill.

Item by item, the Samford Variety Store is looking to make sure that it is doing its best to build a more climate-conscious planet. The aim is to do this while providing customers with goods that meet their better-informed preferences for sustainably produced products. As a member of the Samford Sustainable Business Network, the Variety Store is helping lead the way to enhance Samford’s reputation as a ‘green lung’ of South East Queensland.
