Change to a fuel efficient vehicle

When your current vehicle needs replacing, choose a hybrid, electric vehicle (EV) or a more fuel-efficient car. You could also consider switching to an economical motorbike or scooter if that suits your transport needs.
If you own or lease business vehicles, consider changing to smaller cars or electric vehicles. Running EVs or hybrid vehicles can be even more cost-efficient when combined with Green Power.
Fuel efficiency is important, but if you drive less (for example by using public transport, cycling, or a car-share scheme) you will reduce fuel usage that way. Aim to reduce the number and distance of vehicle journeys involved in transporting people and goods for home or business.
Cut up to 1 tonne of carbon per car
