Change your hot water system

Water heating is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions (up to 25%) from an average Australian home using electric storage systems. If you switch to a renewable source for your hot water system, you can reduce or eliminate emissions.
Options include solar, heat pump and gas-powered hot water systems. Ask your local supplier, or learn more from the government guidance in the links below.
