Reuse Restoring or reusing goods and participating in a circular economy
  • ReUse badge
Rather than always buying new equipment or raw materials, we may be able to restore, reuse, share or upcycle existing items. This will reduce waste, use fewer resources and promote circular economy activity to support our local community and the environment.

How to earn this badge

If you do five or more of these, you will earn a Reuse Badge (Workplace).

  1. We restore worn out or unserviceable items so they can be used again
  2. We give items away to charities or agencies which collect unwanted items which are useable
  3. We are part of a circular economy process with other businesses, organisations or groups
  4. We contribute items to garage sales or other reuse sale events or markets
  5. We hand on useable children’s clothing and toy items to friends, family and neighbours
  6. We purchase reuseable goods where available
  7. We support staff in their activities to reuse goods

How to add a badge to your profile

Sign in and go to your member profile page, then select 'Review my badges'. Follow the 'Read more' links to check the actions for each badge, and tick checkboxes for any badges you have earned. Once you've clicked the 'save' button, the selected badges will display on your profile.

Remember, Green Street Badges rely on each member's honest declaration of what they are doing to be sustainable, so check the actions for each badge carefully!
